2013 Quick Getaway to Acuatico: My Family in Acuatico Beach Resort

Since the kids were TOO busy for photo ops, Hubby and I just let them play with their friends while we had our photo shoot. (*grin*)

IMG_5872

Acuatico was so beautiful not to take photos of the place!

IMG_5878

And the pool in the middle of the resort gave this away. We fell in love with it.

2013 Quick Getaway to Acuatico: On our Way to Laiya Batangas

Last February, it was a long weekend for the kids so my friends and I, together with our families went for a quick getaway in Laiya, Batangas. We’ve been planning to go to Acuatico for years, good thing my friend was able to reserve for 4 families. We all had a blast!

IMG_0965

We left our house by 6:10AM. Check in time was around 1PM but we wanted to make the most out of our stay since travel time was around 3 hours. Good thing there was no traffic, we arrived Acuatico, Laiya at around 9AM. Yes! The kids were ecstatic and we checked out the beach as soon as we arrived.

Oh, this is the life!

Quick Family Dinner at Chilli’s

Chilli’s would always be our favorite restaurant. Aside from the fact that our comfort food were served there, we also love the new offerings every now and then. When we were at Greenbelt, we decided to have a quick dinner with the kids at Chilli’s.

We didn’t order much, only our favorite meals…

IMG_8684

Clam Chowder. The little girls surprisingly love this soup. They finished the whole bowl in a few minutes! I guess it was good.

IMG_8686

Baby Back Ribs + Chicken and Rice. The ribs were still tender and the chicken was tasty. It’s a must to order this if you are dining at Chilli’s.

IMG_8690

Chicken Fajitas. Our all time favorite at Chilli’s. I was craving for this for months so we made sure that we ordered it.

We love, love Chilli’s. We’ll definitely go back again if we crave for those yummy fajitas. Soon.

2012 Family Trip to Vietnam: Sung Sot Cave – A Beautiful Cave in Halong Bay

One of the highlight of our Halong Bay Cruise aside from seeing the Halong Bay itself is going inside the Sung Sot Cave.

IMG_4944 IMG_4964

I was truly surprised that the cave was sooo huge, almost all the tourists of Halong Bay fit inside!

I love how the locals preserved this wonderful cave and they were even able to put lights to make it more “museum-like”. It was amazing!

This tour was perfect for the curious minds of kids and adults alike. Definitely worth seeing!

2012 Family Trip to Vietnam: Great Service and Location of An Hung Hotel

As soon as we arrived at Hanoi International Airport, we just bought snacks then took the cab on our way to An Hung Hotel. Our home for the next 4 days.

2013-01-15_1358289988

I was surprised that it took us more than an hour from airport to the Old District where An Hung Hotel was located. But I got excited as soon as I saw the location, shops were everywhere and food stalls too!

What I also love about An Hung Hotel is the great service that they provided. The hotel manager even went with me to the pharmacy to buy some medicines. Ling, her name, she was so accomodating. Would always asked how I was.

If you are looking for a hotel in the Old District in Hanoi, I highly recommend that you try, An Hung!

2012 Family Trip to Vietnam: Our First Authentic Vietnamese Food for Lunch

Recommended by my sister who has already visited HCM is Nha Hang Ngon for our first authentic Vietnamese food!

IMG_4299

And wow, I’m so glad she recommended it. We had the best lunch in HCM at this particular restaurant.

IMG_4292

I love that there are so many nice things to see in this restaurant. It was an old house converted into a restaurant making it more homey and comfortable.

IMG_4293
Yes, This is actually inside the Restaurant. Don’t you just Love it?

IMG_4304

And look, my little girl even love the resto too…

IMG_4294

IMG_4305

We had full tummies after a sumptuous lunch. Finally I can now say that I’ve tasted a delicious and authentic vietnamese meal in a cozy and comfortable restaurant in Ho Chi Minh. ♥

2012 Family Trip to Vietnam: Ho Chi Minh’s Central Post Office

You would be thinking, what’s so special with a Post Office?!

Well, Ho Chi Minh’s Central Post Office is definitely beautiful… Just look at these photos taken by the Hubby and you would know why.

IMG_4345

IMG_4358

Saigon Central Post Office is a post office in the downtown Ho Chi Minh City, near Saigon Notre-Dame Basilica, the city’s main church. The building was constructed when Vietnam was part of French Indochina in the early 20th century. It has a Gothic architectural style. It was designed and constructed by the famous architect Gustave Eiffel in harmony with the surrounding area. Today, the building is a tourist attraction. SOURCE.

Inside the Saigon Central Post office of special note are two painted maps that were created just after the post office was first built, the first one located on the left side of the building is a map of Southern Vietnam and Cambodia titled ‘Lignes telegraphiques du Sud Vietnam et Cambodge 1892′ which translates to ‘Telegraphic lines of Southern Vietnam and Cambodia 1892” The second map of greater Saigon is titled ‘Saigon et ses environs 1892′ translating to ‘Sai Gon and its environment 1892.SOURCE.

Now you know that it is definitely worth checking out! (*wink*)

2012 Family Trip to Vietnam: The Beautiful Notre Dame Cathedral in Ho Chi Minh

I was looking forward to our trip to HCM simply because I wanted to see the Notre Dame Cathedral in person. The photos I’ve seen didn’t do justice to how beautiful the cathedral was. It was simply breathtaking…

IMG_0249

Peaceful and somber, the Notre Dame Cathedral in Ho Chi Minh City is an easy place to escape the maniacal buzz of motorbikes for a few minutes. Constructed by the French in the 1800s, the Notre Dame Cathedral in Ho Chi Minh City appears strangely out of place with its Gothic and Roman-style architecture. Twin towers reaching to 190 feet capture the interest of people strolling by. SOURCE.

And look at these photos taken by the Hubby…
