El Nido, a Paradise in 2012: Goodbye and Thank You, El Nido!

I can’t believe our long weekend in El Nido is done already! We’ve been looking forward to this trip for MONTHS and it ended just like that.

IMG_9259

Simply because we had sooo much fun and we looove everything about El Nido Resorts. Even on our way back to the airport, the view was still spectacular!

IMG_9274

We left El Nido with a heavy heart but also with a promise to come back and stay even longer! (*wink*)

We didn’t see so much stuff to bring home for the little girls, so we decided to just give them these…

Cute pillows! And they both love these.

Thank you, El Nido for a wonderful experience! And most of all, thanks to the provider who fix and paid for the entire trip. We will always be grateful! ♥

El Nido, a Paradise in 2012: Snorkelling with the Enormous Jack Fishes

After our last breakfast in El Nido, we took the opportunity to take photos around the area.

Picture 774

With the perfect weather, we found the water so inviting!

Picture 770

We still had time to spare so we decided to try the snorkelling and check out the enormous jack fishes around the area. And boy, they were enormous!

Picture 812

At first I find it a bit scary, I thought these jack fishes will eat us! LOL! But when I realized that they won’t, I find the snorkelling so relaxing and definitely unforgettable. I wish my kids will experience this too. Maybe one day we will bring them to El Nido.

El Nido, a Paradise in 2012: Our First Ever Sunrise River Cruise

Before we left El Nido for Manila, we did our second to the last activity for the day – the sunrise river cruise. We started early, we woke up at 5:30AM, yes it was THAT early to catch the early sunrise.

Picture 643

But it was definitely worth it.

Picture 699

Picture 719

We waited for half an hour before we witness the breathtaking sunrise but we didn’t feel the minutes because we were enjoying the coolness of the weather while sipping freshly brewed coffee. It was relaxing and definitely unforgettable.

Now, it was time to go back to Miniloc Resort because breakfast was waiting for us!

El Nido, a Paradise in 2012: Visiting the Small and Big Lagoons of El Nido

Another unforgettable activity we had in El Nido while we were staying in Miniloc Island Resort is the trip to small and big lagoons.

Picture 618

For the big lagoon, we went inside with a speed boat. The view was spectacular and everything around it was a beauty.

Picture 602

Picture 611

Our huge boat wouldn’t fit the small lagoon so we needed to do kayaking to be able to enter. It was a wonderful experience. Too bad we didn’t have pictures to prove that we were there because we couldn’t risk our cameras getting wet!

But, I highly recommend that you try it too when you plan to visit El Nido soon.

El Nido, a Paradise in 2012: Our Heavenly Lunch at Miniloc Island Resort

The moment we saw this cozy restaurant, we knew that our lunch is going to be heavenly! Well, after a couple of raves from the BIL as well. He knew that Miniloc Island Resort offers the best food among the El Nido resorts in the island.

IMG_9140

And we saw the buffet spread, aaaah, we couldn’t wait to start our lunch!

IMG_9144
Sinigang Soup which we’ve missed eating for a few days now…

IMG_9141
3 Types of Salad to Start off our Filipino meal!

IMG_9142
Grilled Pork, Chicken, or Beef? I’ll have 3 please!

IMG_9143
And they got halo-halo! YUM!

The choices here at Miniloc when it comes to the buffet is better maybe because of the selections are our local dishes. And these dishes were cooked in a different way. That is why we the food we could say was definitely heavenly!

El Nido, a Paradise in 2012: Goodbye, Pangulasian!

It was with a heavy heart to say that it was time to leave Pangulasian Island…

Picture 556

But at least we get to hear the crews sing their hearts out again while we say away from the island.

Picture 560

It made our exit all the more sad and dramatic! Oh well…

Pangulasian Island Resort is one of the resorts in El Nido that I fell in love with. It has everything we wanted – a shore and a beach, a beautiful pool and a beautiful villa. Hopefully God will bless us with a budget to go back here again.

Who knows!? Maybe after a few years! (*wink*)

As soon as we had another sumptuous breakfast buffet, we explored Pangulasian Island Resort and see what it could offer us!

And then we went down to the beach to get our snorkelling gears! We were soooo excited!

It’s Windy in this Part of the Resort

We snorkelled for almost an hour enjoying the beautiful reefs, colorful fishes and the beach itself. If only we brought an underwater camera to capture those beautiful sites. All we had to was paint those beautiful pictures in our minds. It was simply breathtaking!

After we had snorkelling, we dropped by the pool area and made the most out of the beautiful weather.

Aaaaah, the view was definitely breathtaking!
