2012 Family Trip to Vietnam: Water Puppet Show

After waiting for about 3 hours at the cafe, we finally went to the Water Puppet Show which was around 5 minutes away from the hotel.

We had a hard time communicating and getting our tickets at the ticket booth. Good thing I brought the hotel’s calling card so they contacted the hotel immediately. Just in time for the show to start!

The kids were so excited even if they know what to look forward. But they know that the show will be showcasing puppets! (*grin*)

I realized that the whole show was sung by a local Vietnamese. The songs were in their language too so I didn’t understand a thing! But good thing the kids enjoyed it.

For your kids, I highly recommend that you watch this water puppet show. For our trip to Vietnam, It was probably the highlight of my little girls. They’ve been talking about this show for weeks!

Our Fuerza Bruta Experience

It happened too fast! One moment my friend was tweeting about a promo of Fuerza Bruta show at Ensogo.com, the next minute, I was purchasing 3 vouchers – for myself, Hubby and my sister!

WELL, I just had to grab it! I knew that the Fuerza Bruta show will end in a few days!

Fuerza Bruta, a breath taking and world-class performance that will redefine your late-night entertainment. Fuerza Bruta, which literally means “Brute Force” is a heart-pounding 60-minute spectacle performers running and tumbling across a vertical wall of Technicolor cloth, flying dancers, a man bursting through moving walls, and dancers wading on a small puddle of water on a hanging pool. The show is completely non-verbal performance that uses dance, acrobatics, visual displays, and pumping beats that will rock your world as it floods the senses. The show ends with a techno dance party and the crowd dancing to the music mixes of the DJ.

The interactive show created and directed by Diqui James, originated in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 2005 and went on a run for six years in Broadway.

And boy, I’m so glad I did because it was one of the unique shows I’ve ever seen so far!

Here’s how our 60 minutes were rocked by Fuerza Bruta!

We came in early around 10PM for the 11PM show because we knew that lots of people also bought vouchers from Ensogo. There were already people inside the Fuerza Bruta lounge. Since it was early, we ordered drinks first. And then by 10:45PM, they announced that the show is about to start! So we went to the entrance doors and waited…

When we were finally inside, we waited again for another couple of minutes until it finally started!

Since it was too crowded, I found it hard to take photos.

It was an interactive show indeed, because we were asked to move around during the show.

It is hard to explain in words the feeling we felt after, but my most favorite part was the water show in the pool.

Definitely unforgettable!

At first I thought that the 60 minute show would be tiring, but I was wrong. Time flew by so quickly! We even felt sad that the show was over. We expected a techno dance party after but it seems like the people had other plans because most of them went out already so we just took a couple of photos then transferred to the Lounge.

It was an unforgettable night for all of us! We were so glad we took the opportunity and bought the discounted offers of Ensogo.

Disney on Ice

Watch over 50 Disney characters live in a Christmas spectacular for the whole family at Araneta Center.

disneyonice_pic

More than fifty of your favorite Disney friends will return to the SMART Araneta Coliseum starting on Christmas Day, and party on ice in a never-before-seen show, Disney on Ice presents Let’s Celebrate!

The all-new production will showcase a magical medley of holidays and celebrations that will transform the Big Dome into a colossal party on ice. Audiences young and old will be delighted as they join Mickey Mouse and friends on a delightful tour of festivities jam-packed with fun surprises, spectacular skating and vibrant costumes. Filipinos will be enthralled as they witness one exciting event after another, including a Valentine’s Royal Ball with the newest Disney princess, Tiana; a very Merry UnBirthday Party with Alice and the Mad Hatter; Jack Skellington’s frightfully festive Halloween Party with the Disney Villains; and a Hawaiian luau with Lilo and Stitch.

Disney on Ice “Let’s Celebrate!” takes you to a holiday tour through the eyes of well-loved Disney characters. With Mickey’s Digital Global Destinator, we are able to travel to far-off places like China for the Chinese New Year and to Brazil for Carnival.

Mickey and pals will travel through each special time of year and according to Scenic Designer Robert Little sets the ice with iconic props that embody the essence of each celebration. Picture this: an illuminated cherry blossom tree mirroring the beauty of the Japanese Cherry Blossom, Sakura; a tree-like structure wrapped in gleaming white lights descends from the ceiling as snowfall blankets the scene of a Winter Wonderland; and an elegant canopy of shimmery fuchsia chiffon drapes the ice for a Valentine’s Royal Ball.

My kids will surely love Disney on Ice, but I wasn’t able to plan this budget and schedule wise. Too bad. Hopefully, there are more shows again next year!
