Looking for a TV Stand.

While I was window shopping last weekend, I realized that we need one of those tv stands that will hold our TV in the kitchen. It’s been sitting in our breakfast table for years now because we didn’t bother to buy a TV stand. Since the holidays are coming and sales are on going, I just hope that we get to buy one for our TV. I know there are also available TV stands online. I might get one online too through StandsAndMounts.com.

Supplier Rating: Yan-Ple’s Balloon and Party Shop

Our baby girl, AA just had her first birthday party last weekend (November 21). We all had a blast at the party. As always, I will post the suppliers’ ratings but what I will do is I will post it one by one to give importance to each supplier and to be able to share lots of photos. So come back and watch out for more!

For now, check out Yan-Ple’s Balloon and Party Shop before I proceed on looking for some mattresses for the kids’ rooms…

I was not so keen on the venue setup since I used to think that I would rather spend money on food than balloons. But since we promised that we will make AA’s party from her Ate’s different, we decided to splurge a bit on the stage backdrop and table centerpieces.

For the first time, I got Apple to do the stage backdrop and table centerpieces. Apple (of Yan-ple’s Balloon and Party Shop) is an online (and now offline) friend. She has been doing this for a couple of years now and she’s really good at it. She knows when to start planning so I was confident that she would do well. She was the one who called me and asked me what I want for the setup during the planning stage. What I love about Apple is that she adjusted to my budget. Since this is not really my priority, I only gave her an amount that I can pay and she worked around it.

Check out the stage backdrop which I love so much!

Isn’t it adorable? I just ordered a couple of Lady Bugs balloons online through my friend Peachy and then Apple inflated (is that the correct term?) it. She did it for FREE! Thanks Apple!

The package of the stage backdrop comes with a “welcome setup” at the door. Check it out.

I super love the setup. Especially the sunflowers/balloons that Apple made! It made the venue alive and made the guests look forward to the party.

I had also Apple made the table centerpieces which were very nice.

She made a mini setup of each table. She made it very well coordinated to the theme. It’s like a mini setup of the stage. I asked her to make it tall so that I won’t need to get balloons for the ceiling anymore. And besides, I don’t have a budget for that. Ha!

Apple made me relaxed the entire party. I was a bit nervous since I didn’t prepare much for this big event. I was too busy with other things like taking care of the kids, work, kalakals that preparing for the party was one of the least priority. Good thing, Apple was there to assist me. I didn’t even have to go to the venue before the party to check what’s going on. I asked her to organize the setup of the buffet, mini carousel, etc.

Thank you so much Apple for making a wonderful setup and for being there the entire time! (*wink*)

Yan-Ple’s Balloon and Party Shop is highly recommended!

I loved how our photos turned out.

How I wish I had more budget so I could get this booth for AA’s party too. But who knows, maybe in her next birthdays.

I highly recommend this for those who are planning to have a birthday party. When you get this, the photographers won’t need to take photos per table anymore. Right!?

I Want To Travel Soon.

bzm glb

Right after seeing the photos above, I want to pack my bags right away, get out of the house and go to the nearest all inclusive resort. The weather is oh so perfect. I feel like it’s summer these days! It’s freaking hot! It doesn’t feel like Christmas is coming. I’ve eyeing the nice Jamaica all inclusive vacations from Breezes Resort. There’s this Breezes Runaway Bay Resort & Golf Club. They call this resort the lush, tropical playground Runaway Bay. I don’t know why but there must be a reason why. I can imagine the kids swimming in the pool and having the time of their lives. Since our baby girl just turned one, she will have a blast for a getaway on the holidays.

There is also the Caribbean resorts which for me are just heavenly. I remember my Aunt who used to go the Caribbean every year. Such a wonderful life, huh? Well, after facing the stress and everyday busy life, I guess she truly deserves to have a perfect getaway.

Well, now, where will we go for the holidays? Baguio sounds good. A cold weather would be a welcome change after this hot weather in Manila. But I also want to go the beach! Enjoy the sand and swim like there is no tomorrow. Now I’m confused! I better do more research and book a hotel before it’s too late.

Everything Instant.

I realized the other day that everything is so fast now and you can get everything instantly. Photos can now be viewed instantly through digicams. While before, we had to wait for the film to be developed. Food can be prepared instantly through microwave. Not to mention fast food chains where you can get your food not more than 5 minutes. Instant noodles are also one those food. It’s like everything is fast tracked. I even came across this instant life insurance quote online. How about that? Before we had to contact an insurance agent just to get a quote and make a schedule. We had to make time for this important purchase. But now, everything is readily available online – information, quotations, rates, and more. It’s like you can shop an insurance anytime, anywhere. Now I wonder, what could be the next thing that can be done instantly?

Goldilocks’ Kahlua Tiramisu

kahlua

Two layers of Vanilla Chiffon Cake sprayed with Kahlua Coffee Liqueur, then filled with Tiramisu cream and chocolate shavings. The cake is iced with cream cheese then covered with chocolate triangle decors on the side and topped with cocoa powder, cream cheese rosettes with chocolate coffee bean decor.

Yesterday was our baby girl’s first birthday! So we ordered a cake from Goldilocks – Kahlua Tiramisu. It looks and sounds good but to our dismay, it was just an ordinary cake. For the price of PHP500.00 it didn’t meet our expections. Yes the chiffon cake was soft but we didn’t even taste the coffee liqueur and the kahlua.

We still want the Coffee Walnut Bavarian of Red Ribbon. It tastes better! It is more expensive but at least that cake was worth it.

Bag O’Beans, still the Best!

IMG_8783

We were at Bag O’ Beans last Saturday. We sacrificed sleep, woke up early and went to Tagaytay to have breakfast. As usual we had fun at Bag O’ Beans. We managed to forget work for awhile, not talk about life insurance policy that we are about to purchase in the next few months, and just enjoyed the place and weather. The food was great as expected.

The servings were huuuge! We ordered the same thing we ordered the last time we were there – Omelet with Bacon and the Breakfast Platter. Our little girl loved the strawberry shake although she wasn’t able to finished it because it was too huge for her. Hubby happily drank it. I wanted to buy raisin bread, my sister’s favorite, but it it is not fresh anymore the next day, which is the day we are going home.

TKK.

THINKING of KRISPY KREME.

That’s what Hubby and I used to joke when we wanted krispy kreme doughnuts. I remember during the first store opening of KK in Serendra, we lined up for free dougnuts and we brought our little girl with us. There was a storm that day but it didn’t stop us from lining up!

Why am I reminiscing some Krispy Kreme memories?

Mainly because I saw their Holiday ad while looking for bodybuilding supplements. Ironically, while I was looking for healthy food and food supplements, I came across Krispy Kreme doughnuts. Check this out.

KK SnowMan

Sweet huh!? Those snowman doughnuts are just great! These are perfect gifts this Holiday season!

Now, I better move on and look for the “real” food this time.
