That’s the reason why there are no updates here since the weekend. I’ve been busy packing and unpacking stuff that I didn’t have time to update this blog.

So hang in there and hopefully when you get back here, I’m able to post again and got my blogging mojo back.

When Orchard Road opened at SM, I was curious and wanted to dine there ever since. We didn’t have time to drop by because we were busy checking out life insurance quotes online. This was our priority for the past few weeks and we needed to get one soon. Good thing there were readily available quotes online so it was easier for us to choose. When we were finally able to find one, we decided to celebrate and try Orchard Road.

We didn’t know what to order so we just asked the order taker for their best sellers. They suggested the following…

- Char Kway Teow PHP 150
- Black Pepper Chicken & Rice PHP145
- Hainanese Chicken Rice PHP155

We tried the three and found the food really good. Hubby and I are into Japanese food but after having dinner at Orchard Road, we might be eating here again. The price was not too bad too considering the serving was pretty huge. We left the restaurant happy and contented. I wanted to try the desserts but Hubby insisted on having frozen yoghurt from Red Mango instead. I’m pretty sure that we will go back to this restaurant again soon.

and it’s going to be Mother’s Day! I realized that time flies so fast lately that I think I would need to find gift ideas for mother’s day. The thing is, I would always cram in getting gifts for my MIL that I ended up giving her a CAKE! She loves the cake but I just find it too boring and predictable. My Mom is already in the States so I think I can give her something I bought online. I’m sure there are so many options to choose from! Flowers right at her doorstep would be nice. I’m definitely sure that she will be surprised to know that we were the ones who sent her. Imagine, we were miles away from her and we still haven’t forgotten her day. It would be nice to send for her birthday too. But of course, variety would be nice. She would be happy to receive different gifts for every occassion so I better start thinking of what to give her NOW!

When I saw my online friend’s photos of Shangrila Boracay, I can’t help but feel GREEN with envy. Especially now that it’s unusually HOT! I’m not usually into big hotels and resorts when in Boracay. What we do is we checked in to the cheapest hotel (not even a hotel but a room) and splurge on food, night out gimiks, and do nothing but swim! But when I saw the photos of Shangrila Bora, I feel like I want to go there and try it out too.

HEAVENLY.

That’s the only word that I can’t think of to describe this resort. The spa would be the best, I assume. I hope I could at least check this out when I go to Boracay.

Yes this is in the Philippines particularly in Bohol. These are the amenities of Amorita Resort. Lovely isn’t it? The moment I saw these photos from their website, I just can’t help but dream of going there. I plan to visit this heavenly place on my birthday perhaps? We’ll see!

Cebu Pacific is having a seat sale again! This is only for today and tomorrow. All flights going to Indonesia from June 1 to August 31, 2010. I had fun with our trip to Indonesia last year and it would be fun to go back there this year. I hope I could bring the husband this time. Bali was our main destination but we were able to visit Jakarta for a day! It was so much fun! I love the food in Jakarta and the malls were just all over the city. Hope to see that city again soon.

I remember it was cold in New Jersey so I had to wear a thick and wool jacket. I had fun playing with the slots machine. I’m no casino-goer nor a risk-taker so I just threw in a couple of coins and then that’s it. I just watched people play and then I ate a lot during that time. But, did you notice how thin I was 10 years ago? I didn’t have to take weight loss supplements in order to get that body. It’s just the age I guess and the activities that I did. I used to walk all the time. Every after lunch I make sure I would walk around the lake while praying.

I miss those days. How I wish I could have that plenty of time to be on my own, think about my life, pray, and just enjoy each moment. My life now with kids are way different. I can’t say it’s easier. Definitely not. But I guess my life now has more purpose than my life before.
