How Should You Travel?

Hmmm…Probably true…

You Should Travel By Airplane

While you may not like the stress and chaos of flying, there’s something peaceful about being up in the air.
You cherish your time on a flight once everything calms down, and you especially like flying at night.

You have a real yen for traveling, and you want to see as much of the world as possible.
You’re all about the whirlwind, round-the-world tour … and only flying in a plane can give you that.

May 3, 2010 is Declared as a Regular Holiday!

In lieu of May 1, Labor Day, May 3, 2010 is declared as a regular Holiday!

MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED/CORRECTED) – President Arroyo on Wednesday declared May 3 as a regular holiday–not special non-working holiday as earlier reported–in lieu of May 1, Labor Day.

Executive Secretary Leandro Mendoza said May 1, which falls on a Saturday, is not a holiday. He said this declaration is based on Republic Act 9492 or the holiday economics of President Arroyo.

The long weekend encourages families to get together and strengthen their relationship towards a more productive environment, as well as promotes domestic tourism, the proclamation said.

RA 9492 mandates that most holidays, except those with religious significance, will be shifted to the nearest Monday.

Labor Secretary Marianito Roque earlier ruled out any announcements of a wage hike from President Arroyo on Labor Day.

Another long weekend for us! Too bad I wasn’t able to plan so we will just stay home and bond as a family. Probaly eat and sleep!

On Handling Credit Card.

I spoke to my friends a couple of days ago and realized that we all have credit card problems. There are just times when you want to shop all you want using your credit card that you don’t know when to stop. My take would be to give up some of the cards and leave only 1 or 2 credit cards to prevent living in debts. This is what I want to avoid that’s why everytime I shop, I make sure that I have money to pay for it.

Now, I’m thinking of giving up my one and only credit card. Should I? I’m thinking of its advantages like for emergency purposes so I don’t think I can. Will think about it again and see if I can live with the plastic.

Incredibly Busy.

That’s what I am recently.

I accepted a project for 6 months, so now I don’t have much time to update this blog. Not to mention the family getaways on weekends. And the no-globe-internet at home! It’s been days now, I hope they find a way to fix our internet!

Anyway, there are still more to look forward to in this blog. We went to Tagaytay with friends over the weekend. We managed to eat breakfast at Bag O’Beans again (our favorite!) so I will post photos of that soon. I also went to the province with my little girl for my cousin’s wedding. Not much adventure there but hopefully I can share a few photos too.

Now, I came across JazzMedical.com and found the ALRI CR2 that I’m looking for my cousin who is into body building. Such an interesting site since they are giving all the information that you need about health, fitness, and body-building. I think I will purchase one of those but will have to check with my cousin if he wants one. I love the idea that I don’t have to go out for this. All I have to do is shop online, pay using my credit card and I’m done!

As for my project, I started working on it and will definitely be busy in the next few months.

Our Sumptious Dinner at Via Mare, Trinoma.

My friend suggested that we have dinner at Via Mare when we met up yesterday at Trinoma. All of us haven’t tried it yet surprisingly, so we all agreed. I’m glad we did because the food was really sumptious! We were so full afterwards.

We ordered:

- Baked Oysters

This is one their best sellers. Loved this!

- Kare-kare

karekare

Oxtail, tripe and Vegetables in Peanut Sauce
——————————————
The ultimate Filipino dish of braised oxtail, beef tripe and vegetables in full flavored peanut annatto sauce. This fare is best accompanied by sauteed baby shrimp paste. A perfect match with steaming cup of rice.

- Pork Binagoongan

Served with pork liempo, vegetables and bagoong. I loved how they separated the bagoong from the vegetables. At least with that, you can decide how much bagoong you will put in your veggies.

- Sinagang na Bangus sa Miso

Not my type that much. I’m not really a sinigang person. But my friends loved this.

- Buko Pandan Dessert

The highlight of our meal. The Buko Pandan dessert has gata, buko, and sago. It was heavenly!

Surprisingly, we finished all of the food that we ordered. We were spent! That’s why when we saw the treadmill available for sale at the same level of the Department store where we dined, we wanted to buy it immediately. We definitely could use a bit of exercise after that sumptious meal!

I highly recommend Via Mare. Hopefully when we get back we would try their Arroz Caldo, Bibingka, and Puto Bungbong which I heard were very good.

Oximeter, Anyone?

I had dinner with friends last night (which I will post more details in a while) and we had a blast! We talked about a lot of things from ourselves to health and oximeter to exercising to service to God to current events. We talked about almost anything! It was a fun night with girlfriends and wish we would see each other again one of these days.

As for the oximeter, I tried suggesting this one I found online. It has the he best quality, accuracy and value as the website said. They are selling in a pretty good price so I guess buying from this one is not bad at all. Will check out more from their website and probably suggest to my friends what they should get.

The Best Roast Beef at Del Monte Clubhouse.

I was so giddy with excitement when my Dad told me that we are having lunch at Del Monte Clubhouse in Bukidnon last Friday.

Years since I last dined here. I couldn’t even remember when. But the only memory that I had is the smell of the newly cooked steak. It was still the same, the place and the ambiance. Nothing changed that much. And the steaks were still the best! My Dad convinced me to order Roast Beef as this is their best seller. My sister and brother had sirloin steaks.

Would you believe that I finished all of my Roast Beef? Now I need the best weight loss supplements because I really gained a lot of weight after that meal.

We also ordered unlimited Pineapple juice which was only P20.00! Yes that cheap. It was Del Monte after all.

How to get there:
The course is situated within Del Monte’s pineapple plantation in the highlands of Bukidnon province, Mindanao Island. First there is a 70-minute plane ride from Manila to Cagayan de Oro, next you need private transportation to the site proper, a car ride of approximately 35 minutes from Cagayan de Oro City Airport.

Walk in Tubs for your Bathrooms.

I was impressed by this new walk in tubs for bathrooms.

bestwalkintubs

I love it because you don’t have to do a big hop in order to go inside the tub. It’s safe especially for kids and elderly. Not to mention the style is really elegant. Safety is my priority so this would be an option when we renovate our bathroom. I guess their main target is for the elderlies who won’t be needing assistance when taking a dip here in the walk in tub.

The Wheel of Fate.

IMG_2427

Enchanted Kingdom is known for this ride. The Wheel of Fate. As far as I can remember I had only rode on this one once when I was in highschool. I didn’t feel dizzy afterwards probably because it was huge! What I like about this ride is that you can see the nice view of Laguna when you are on top. You can also feel the wind. Such a great experience.

Another thing that I loved about Enchanted Kingdom is the food. All the kiddie food are there, pizza, popcorn, hotdog, fries, mini donuts, corn on the cob, drinks and more. But you can’t expect to get a healthy food while you are in the park. That’s why it’s advisable to bring your own if you tend to worry about what your kids are going to eat. You can also bring you own herbal weight loss pills for yourself. At least that way you are assured that you are eating the right stuff.
