Flowers for my Mom

It’s been more than a month now since my Mom left for the States.

I miss her. And now that Mother’s day is just a few weeks from now, I’m thinking of ordering flowers for her. I got this idea from Proflowers coupons. These are coupons that I can use to buy flowers online. By using these coupons, my purchases will be discounted.

Several coupons include: 15% discount of the entire purchase, saving 20% off on orders of $39.99 or more, a free vase, there is also a free delivery for weekdays! I love this site and I’m sure I will use this for purchasing flowers for my Mom for Mother’s Day. It is the only that we can give thanks to our Moms who made a lot of sacrifices for us. So, let’s all buy something for them, I’m sure they will appreciate it. (*grin*)

Rock, Dine and Roll at RedBox Greenbelt

IMG_7236

Last month, Hubby and I together with our close friends tried out Redbox Greenbelt for the first time. We availed the eat all you can and the sing-all-you can promo. We went on a weekday. Knowing Hubby and our friends who are hooked to videoke, it was a great deal indeed!

We lasted for almost 4 hours feeling spent and full. The dinner was just ok but the drinks included in the buffet were bought from coffee bean coffee shop so I guess we got our money’s worth. (*grin*)

Unfortunately I can’t remember the rates anymore but you can call anytime for more details.

Missing Bag O’Beans Breakfast

Who wouldn’t? Just by looking at these photos made my mouth water…

…and wants to go back there right this minute!

I love breakfast food and Bag O’Beans is one of the restaurants in Tagaytay that we love for breakfast. Although I would say, eating at Bag O’Beans would require drinking lipozene afterwards, just to make sure I would lose weight. This is also to make sure I maintain my weight. I just had too. Good thing, lipozene reviews are available online at least I would know which one works best. There is a site that offers a whole lot of info about lipozene from history of the pill to the benefits and even side effects. Just what I needed. Will look into it more and see what’s doing it in my body after having a huge breakfast!

I hope we can visit Tagaytay one of these days. Especially now that the weather is getting hot! And we would for sure visit Bag O’Beans again!

Movie Marathons Over the Weekend

I had the luxury to watch a lot of movies over the weekend. Thanks to the 4-day no work, we were able to bond by watching movies and surf the internet. Good thing Hubby was able to get a couple of movies a few weeks ago, we enjoyed watching almost all of it. I also had the luxury to do a couple of research (which I wanted to do for the past few months now) and discovered a couple of softwares that I will download if I have time again…

- The newest OpenOffice downloads has been released and is already available for download. We are planning on using this at work so this update will help us figure out if we will continue to launch it or not.

- Pidgin IM For Facebook Chat seems useful for me since I’ve been having a chat with my Mom ever since she got back to the US. After reading the steps to install, it looks like I won’t have a hard time installing it! We’ll see.

- The PuTTY Downloads which will also be used in the office PuTTY is a free and open source terminal emulator application. What it can do is that it can act as a client for the SSH, Telnet, rlogin, and raw TCP computing protocols and as a serial console client.

- Do you need a video capture software? Try downloading VirtualDub. I find this useful for us since my kids sometimes would like to capture their favorite scenes from their favorite movies. They would love to see this!

- Another software that my kids would love to have – the VLC Media Player. Reasons why I want this? It’s easy to use, has no restrictions on regional usage and it’s an open source program so it’s absolutely FREE. The good thing about this also is that it does not require users to constantly download and update add-ons or codec files.

A Scanner Perfect for Traveling

I realized that’s what I actually need a usb barcode scanner that I can plug and play and bring wherever I go. We move from one place to another on weekends so it’s best to bring a portable scanner. At least it would be light and easy to pack. I heard from Posguys.com that the quality is also good. There are several USB scanners available at their site. Price ranges from $119 to $147. Not bad right? I think I’m going to get one soon!

Jatujak has Become a Fave Thai Food Resto!

Ever since my friend Farrah introduced me to this restaurant, it became a favorite.

IMG_7876

The Lemongrass Mint Drink actually gave it away. The restaurant is located at SM Megamall. A bit small but still condusive even if we bring along our little girls. Here are our favorite meals from Jatujak:

- Tom Yum All-Shrimps Soup
- Pho Pia Sod (Vegetarian fresh spring rolls)
- Kana Moo Grob (Stir fried Kailan leaves with crispy pork)
- Gai Hor Bai Toey (Chicken in pandan leaves)
- See Klong Moo Daeng (Thai pork spareribs)
- Pla Mug Kratiem Prig Thai (Squid with garlic, cilantro and pepper)

I have yet to try their other dishes. And I’m so looking forward to our next meal at Jatujak.

Try it too! (*wink*)

Need to Scan Travel Photos?

Just came back from a family getaway and now I’m reminiscing on our previous trips. I was looking at our old albums and realized that I need to scan those photos before it gets really old. So now, I’m looking for a scanning software that would allow me to do the scanning. I have tons of pictures to scan and honestly, I don’t know know where to start. So I need something simple and fast. It has to be user-friendly since I’m not in the mood to learn a new software today.

So, any suggestions? I’m looking at OfficeGemini.com since they have a lot of options to choose from. I hope I get to buy their scanning software very, very soon.

Tasty Chicken Inasal at JT’s Manukan Grill

I’ve been meaning to try JT’s Manukan Grill for months now. So when we were at the area a couple of weeks ago, we got to try it. Finally!

IMG_7967

We just ordered the usual chicken leg, Bulalo, and caramel tarts for take out.

IMG_7970

Hubby and I both love the chicken. It was so tasty, we ordered more rice. JT’s chicken inasal is, I would say, the best I’ve ever tasted, so far.

Although the ambiance is not good but it is nice considering it is beside a busy street.

I highly recommend it!
