Good Pizza and Pasta at Marciano’s

I was able to grab a voucher of Marciano’s months ago so when my Dad was here a few weeks ago, we decided to avail it. I chose the Greenbelt branch.

This is my second time already at Marciano’s. The first was a lunch with my girl friends before watching a movie. The food was delish that’s why when I saw the promo, I grabbed it immediately since I wanted Hubby to try it too.

We had Marciano’s Signature Salad made of Provole cheese, prosciutto, caramelized walnutts and pears.

Being with my family who loves salad so much, this was gone in 60 seconds! LOL!

We also had the Gangs of New York Pizza which has salami, anchovies, black olives, bell peppers and onions.

For pasta, we had two – Studio 54 Shrimp & Italian Sausage and Tony Soprano’s Seafood and Pesto.

Both pastas were goood! We also got to try the Roast Chicken with steamed vegetables on the side. Lastly, for dessert I had Apple Pie Crumble which I find it just ok.

Everyone was happy with the food, the service and the ambiance of Marciano’s. Hubby would even love to go back, this time, to try the steaks! I would highly recommend this. The food was not too expensive knowing that most of what we had were really good.

Army Navy’s Burger and Burritos

Finally after hearing a lot of raves about the good burger of Army Navy, we finally get to try it a couple of weekends ago.

IMG_1677

WE ordered a LOT because all of us were so hungry!

Freedom Fries and the famous Iced Tea!

We had an order of the Freedom Fries. I remember Mc Donald’s Twister fries after seeing it, but this one is different because it was surprisingly spicy! The iced tea was good and was recommended by a lot of my friends.

The burger was good. I was surprised actually. I was expecting a dry burger but I guess the raves about this famous burger were not an exaggeration. (*grin*)

The chicken burrito that we had was just ok. But the fried chicken that we ordered for the kids were really good.

All along I thought that eating at Army Navy was expensive and it was more of like a Friday’s type of resto. I was wrong about that! And we will definitely go back there one of these days.

Our Quick Getaway to Tagaytay

Last October 8, Hubby and I braved the rain and went to Tagaytay for a much needed getaway. We haven’t done this since January when we celebrated our Anniversary at Quezon, so as my belated birthday celebration, we availed the voucher I got from Deal Grocer – an overnight stay at T House. Of course, another purpose of this trip is to eat!

So our first stop in our food trip was at Antonio’s for brunch.

The food was just ok. Hubby didn’t enjoy his beef tapa that much. I on the other hand, was happy with scrambled eggs, sausage and hashbrowns!

After our sumptuous brunch, we went straight to T House to rest and then had dinner at their restaurant around 7PM.

We had a movie marathon after dinner. We’ve missed a lot of movies for the past few months and it was the perfect time to catch up. While watching, T House served a goodnight tea and cookies. It was good!

And we slept well after that.

The next morning we were amazed at the view that we saw!

It was definitely foggy!

We don’t experience this in Manila so I would say that because of this, we love Tagaytay more!

What’s your Favorite Form of Exercise?

My favorite form of exercise, well, except for traveling, is hitting the treadmill at least thrice a week. I also love to dance so I’m thinking of trying out dance zumba. My friends are so far loving this type of exercise and looks like it’s effective. They lost a couple of pounds ever since they started it. I haven’t really explored this so I’m going to check it out later. I’m curious on how my regimen will be with zumba. Are there levels that I need to follow? Are the steps easy? These are my questions that I’m sure will found out soon!

How about you? Have you tried zumba lately?

Exploring Social Networks for Physicians

When traveling, I always make it a point to update my social network sites. I know some people think it’s a waste of time but my loved ones would like to get an update from me, from time to time. They would know what I’m doing, how am I doing while I’m out of the country and would love to check out my photos too!

There are social networking sites now that focus mainly on your profession. One is Doximity.com that focuses on Doctors. Just like Kristin Markell MD who joined Doximity.com and enjoyed the perks and benefits of being part of this social network. This site allow Physicians to share their experiences so that the other members will learn from them. What a perfect way to spend your free time, enlisting in a social network that will improve your skill as a Doctor.

Shang Mactan’s Adventure Zone

The adventure zone of Shangrila Mactan is probably the reason why we would go back to Shangrila Mactan again.

2343656620095243712VqKTZH_fs

The kids had so much fun here and this is probably the only place that they kept on mentioning after our trip. If you avail a package, 2 hours of play time in this area is included. It’s important to bring socks, wear long sleeves and pants or else they won’t allow you to go inside and play. Children under 4 years of age must be accompanied by a responsible adult. While children above the age of 4 must be checked into the area by a parent or guardian and sign a waiver of liability.

I love, love Shang Mactan’s Adventure Zone. It was definitely one of the highlights of our Cebu trip!
