Beautiful Sunsets… It’s More FUN in the Philippines!

The major lesson I’ve learned after traveling for years now is that I have to keep my mobile phone charged at ALL times. I remember when my battery was empty and I couldn’t contact my sister so we all got lost in the middle of Hongkong. It was a great lesson that I make sure I have enough battery for the entire day.

Or better yet, bring extra battery from the best selection of cell batteries at The Source. This way, I’m confident that my cellphone’s battery is always full. This is best for emergencies. And of course now that I use my mobile phone to take pictures, I don’t have an excuse to take my mobile phone for granted. Now, I better check which battery would work best on my cellphone.

Our next stop in our trip to Singapore last summer was Singapore Day Zoo. It was our first time so we are all very excited, especially the kids! We hired a van on our way to the zoo which took us not more than 30minutes. There was no traffic and our trip was a breeze. So thankful!

When we arrived at the zoo, the line for the tickets was not that long. But it gave us time to take a few photos at the entrance.

And when we were done, we started our tour immediately.

Wherever we looked, every animal was a beautiful sight to see. But our favorite parts were the two shows that we watched.

We were so lucky that it didn’t rain much which made us see almost the entire park.

And thanks to this map, we didn’t get lost in this huge place.

I remember the days when I used to watch out for plane fare sales and whenever I book, I would end up disappointed because I didn’t get what I wanted to book. Why? Because my computer was so slow, I missed some of the bookings.

So when you are trying to book for flights thru sale, make sure you have a fast computer and internet. I’m checking out articles on how to speed up my computer because I’m waiting for a plane fare sale for my Aunt. She is planning to visit Manila soon and she wants to purchase cheap tickets. I’m also looking at the iOlo System since they have a couple of softwares that help speed up computers. They also fix the computer and everything can be done automatically. I believe that investing in these type of softwares are worth it. Especially if you want to buy that cheap plane ticket that you’ve been thinking about for months now.

After checking out Takashimaya Mall in Orchard Road, we were all very tired that night so we decided to have dinner again at the nearest Hawker Center. This is where we had lunch earlier so we know the place and food already.

And if you have read this, we actually discovered this place when we were in Singapore, December of last year.

We tried the other stall this time where you just point which food to order. The food was surprisingly good. Not bad at all! We also tried the drinks which was fresh mango and sugar cane.

Since we were so hungry, we had a quick dinner then off we went back to the hotel to call it a day.

The positive thing that happened when our flight was delayed for 3 hours on our way to Singapore was that we were able to check out Orchard Road. In Orchard Road, we checked out the malls which were all over the place! And one stop that I was very excited about, is our stop at the MAC store where my brother is working.

I bought a couple of loots from the store, but not that much because I was saving my pocket money for other things. Shopping on this trip was set on our last day!

If you want to visit MAC store in Orchard Road, visit the MAC store at Takashimaya Mall! Options are a lot in this shop! (*wink*)

Since our flight was delayed for almost three hours, we didn’t get to push through with our plan of going to Sentosa Island for our first day anymore. Instead, after settling down in the hotel, we decided to check out Orchard Road and the malls which were just a couple of minutes away from the hotel.

There were lots of tourists, as always at Orchard Road. But still, it is still by far, my favorite shopping place in Singapore. The items were a bit expensive though so you better prepare for a huge budget to shop at these malls!

Of course, shopping was not my priority during this trip, so, all I had to do was take pictures all over Orchard Road.

Still, I had fun! I just love Orchard Road and hopefully when we get to visit Singapore again, we can drop by Orchard Road too.

As promised, my next posts in the next couple of days will be about our most recent trip to Singapore.

Last May, the inlaws have decided to treat the whole family to Singapore! So we spend a couple of days there and we all had so much fun.

We left Manila one Saturday and took the 6AM flight. We knew that the flight was 3 hours so we wanted early to be able to start our tour in Singapore early too. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen because our flight was almost 3 hours delayed.

When I think about it now, I realized that I should be thankful for the delay, at least they were able to fix the plane before we left MNL. With that we had a safe flight and arrived safely in Singapore around 12 noon.

We went straight to the hotel, checked in for the day, left our stuff then had lunch at the nearest Hawker Center.

Sunday: Singapore Day Zoo + Heard mass + Dinner with relatives at Clarke Quay
Monday: Universal Studios Singapore + Dinner with relatives at Din Tai Fung
Tuesday: Shopping Day + Flight back to Manila
